Plan to Correct

The staff in question was terminated immediately. All staff was given a refresher course on what is and not accepted regarding nap time and had to take additional training on safe sleep and nap time procedures.

Plan to Correct

All cell phones are placed in a bucket at the front desk while teachers are on the clock. If caught in the classroom with a cell phone, teachers are written up and after three times will be suspended for three days without pay. If it continues, teacher will be terminated.

The teacher in question was immediately suspended and then terminated upon completion of investigation. Had a mandatory staff meeting and went over correct discipline procedures and safe ways to care for the children.

Supervision is the function of observing, overseeing, and guiding a child or group of children, including an awareness of, and responsibility for, the ongoing activity of each child, and being near enough to intervene when needed. The program is required to maintain supervision at all times.
