Plan to Correct

Effective immediately, classroom schedules and attendance will be monitored throughout the day to ensure adequate teaching personnel are physically present with each group of children. Staff will be reassigned as needed when attendance fluctuates, and management will conduct ratio checks at opening, closing, and throughout day. All teaching personnel will receive additional training on ratio requirements and classroom capacity limits. The director or designee will monitor compliance daily to ensure ratios are consistently maintained.

Regulation Description

340:110-3-286(a) - Ratios. Ratios are the number of teaching personnel required to be physically present with a child or group of children, per Oklahoma Administrative Code (OAC) 340 Appendix GG - Ratios and Group Sizes. Only teaching personnel count in ratios, unless requirements specifically state otherwise. The program is required to maintain ratios at all times.

Plan to Correct

Effective immediately, additional clothing in appropriate sizes will be purchased and placed on-site. Classroom staff will routinely check supplies and notify administration when replacement items are needed. The director will conduct monthly inspections to ensure adequate clothing remains available at all times.

Plan to Correct

The program has corrected this issue by ensuring drinking water is readily available to children throughout the day, both indoors and outdoors. Filtered water pitchers and cups are available on both playgrounds. Staff have been reminded of the requirement that children must have access to drinking water at all times and will monitor water availability throughout the day to ensure compliance.

340:110-3-298(b)(3) - Water. Safe drinking water is freely available to children at all times. Children are encouraged to drink water throughout the day, especially before, during, and after outdoor play.
