Program updated the parent policy to notify parents anytime that a child does not arrive as scheduled. In the future the program will call parents when a child does not arrive as scheduled and ask about all children in the family.

Each staff member will approach the children with an attitude of understanding. Staff members will use appropriate discipline relevant to the children's age and behavior. Each staff member will use logical consequences. Physical discipline will not be tolerated in our facility. Staff members will provide alternatives when the behavior is unacceptable. Time out or safe place.

Each staff member will approach the children with an attitude of understanding. Each staff member will use appropriate discipline relevant to the children's behavior. Each staff member will use safe logical consequences. Physical discipline will not be tolerated. Or yelling inappropriate language towards any children in our care. Staff will provide alternatives when the behavior is unacceptable. Time our out time away depending on child's age.

Plan to Correct

If a child gets hot we will move the child to a cooler place and give the water and tell them to rest. If a child gets a heat rash, they will stay in a cool place and keep the rash dry. If the child gets heat cramps. We will stop the activity and move to a cooler place, drink water or sports drink, wait for cramps to go before doing any more physical activity. Get medical attention right away if cramps last longer than an hour or they are on a low sodium diet, or they have heart problems. If the child gets heat exhaustion we will move them to a cool place, loosen their clothes, put cool, wet clothes on the child's body, and sip water. We will get medical attention right away if a child throws up, symptoms get worse or the symptoms last longer than an hour. If the child has a heat stroke, we will call 911, move the child to a cool place, help lower the person's temperature with cool clothes and won't give the child a drink. if the child is throwing up, we will seek medical help right away or if the symptoms appear to be getting worse. To prevent this from happening in the future we will make sure we check the temperature for that day and the heat index.
