Plan to Correct

Children will be supervised at all times by teaching staff. Children will not be left unattended. When children are transitioning between rooms, teachers will provide atendance sheet to the receiving teacher and attendance will be taken using name to face Children will remain in the classroom until parent pickup with qualified staff.

Regulation Description

340:110-3-287(a) - Supervision. Supervision is the function of observing, overseeing, and guiding a child or group of children, including an awareness of, and responsibility for, the ongoing activity of each child, and being near enough to intervene when needed. The program is required to maintain supervision at all times.

Plan to Correct

Classrooms will remain in ratio at all times. When children are transitioned to other rooms, the staff will make sure they are in ratio, Staff will maintain paper attendance in the classroom, and will provide that to the teacher, that is receiving the children. Children will remain in the classroom until parent pick up.

Regulation Description

340:110-3-286(a) - Ratios. Ratios are the number of teaching personnel required to be physically present with a child or group of children, per Oklahoma Administrative Code (OAC) 340 Appendix GG - Ratios and Group Sizes. Only teaching personnel count in ratios, unless requirements specifically state otherwise. The program is required to maintain ratios at all times.

Plan to Correct

Program will install a new exit push button to the lobby out of reach of children. Staff will maintain correct attendance in the classroom and make sure when transitioning to other rooms or outside that they are using name to face attendance taking. Staff will walk the children to the new classroom and make sure that children are secure in their classrooms after transitioning.
